The parts.
There are only five things to understand. Each one is named here, along with what it cannot do — because in this contract the refusals are the design.
IThe Face SetThe fixed menu of five faces: Full Retire, Retire Lean, Centre Split, Pool Lean and Full Pool. It cannot grow, shrink or reorder. Consequence: the universe of possible rules is knowable in full before launch.
IIThe struck faceThe one face the deployer chose at construction, written permanently into the contract. It cannot be re-read as anything else, and no function replaces it. Consequence: the rule of every trade is a public fact, not a promise.
IIIThe Trade FeeTwo percent of each trade, whichever direction it runs. It cannot be raised, lowered or waived, and it never lands in a wallet. Consequence: trading cost is a constant of the token, not a mood of its deployer.
IVRetired SupplyThe DIEC the fee removes from circulation. Retired DIEC cannot be spent, recovered or reissued by anyone. Consequence: under every face except Full Pool, holding is a claim on a supply that only stays flat or shrinks.
VPool DepthThe share of the fee that stays in the market, thickening the Pool on Uniswap v4. It cannot be redirected elsewhere. Consequence: under every face except Full Retire, trading itself makes the market easier to trade.
Everything else on this site — the Readings page, the whitepaper, these pages — is commentary on those five nouns. If you understand what each one is and what each one refuses, you understand Diecast.
