Fees.
Diecast has one fee. This page states it, states what is free, shows where the fee goes, and works an example.
What is charged
The Trade Fee: 2% of each buy and each sell. It is taken with the transfer, divided by the struck face, and sent to the two destinations — retiring supply and deepening the Pool. It is the only fee the token knows.
What is not charged
- Holding. A wallet that never trades never pays the token anything.
- Receiving. Reading the contract, checking the face, watching the Pool — all free.
- Any platform cut. No wallet collects the Trade Fee; no share of it leaves for a team.
Worked example
| Trade | Fee at 2% | Full Retire sends | Full Pool sends |
|---|---|---|---|
| 250 DIEC | 5 DIEC | 5 DIEC to retirement | 5 DIEC to depth |
| 2,000 DIEC | 40 DIEC | 40 DIEC to retirement | 40 DIEC to depth |
| 10,000 DIEC | 200 DIEC | 200 DIEC to retirement | 200 DIEC to depth |
Changes
There is no mechanism by which the fee changes: no setter, no governor, no upgrade path. A different fee would mean a different contract, and nothing in this one migrates. The complete statement of what is fixed lives in the Protocol Note.
